For most of the U.S. right now, schools are closed indefinitely. Because of this, I am trying to provide the most normalcy for my son as possible. There is nothing really "normal" in being home with my son every day. But I would be lying if I didn't say this wasn't a dream of mine. To be honest, I had always envisioned getting to be a SAHM and watch my son grow up, and not worry about anything financially other than raising my son and creating a home for my husband to come home to daily. But for me, that is not my reality. On top of that, I also REALLY love my job. I love working, I love what I do, and I love getting to get to know the patients I have at my job.
With all that said, for now, I am going to totally embrace the SAHM life and do the best job I can for my son. For me -- I can totally see myself excelling in Science, Arts & Life Management Skills lol.. you won't see me rushing to go over History or Math.
Over the weekend we started working out in our second back yard (yes, we have TWO backyards) along with our neighbor whose backyard runs into ours. We knocked down the fence that separates our yards and decided that we would have a mutual shared garden. For the record, I am so glad because there is so much for us to learn and it's also nice to get to know your neighbor.
Because of COVID-19, we still kept a safe distance and worked on separate projects in the back yard trying to get it all together to grow a garden. It is a lot of work and a huge job considering the size of our backyard, especially now combined.

Today, we realized that with all the cleaning up we have done we have disrupted the ants. Let's just say, I tried standing in the backyard for maybe a minute when I was fully covered in about 20 ants. Luckily, they bite but don't create any certain reaction but enough to annoy you.
We quickly ran out of there when I let my neighbor know what was going on. She suggested us take the natural route, and as our Myers Lemons fall, leave them in the back yard because ants do not like citrus. Within an hour, they were gone.

Either way, I was already moving on to other projects. One of which I will share on another blog post. But today? Today we painted. Today for Art Class we took a walk around the neighborhood and found the smoothest and flattest rocks possible. We headed home to wash them and rest while they dried. Before dinner, we all headed outside on the patio to enjoy the fresh air and paint the rocks we found for our future garden.

I wish I could take credit for some of these fun designs, but I definitely got some ideas from Pinterest. My husband came down to join us and he wanted to make one that was Iron Man as well as Venom lol...

Tomorrow, we will try to head back to the garden to start cleaning up the area more. We also started to germinate the seeds that we will be growing. I will be sure to write a post about that and the process that we are choosing to do.
Be sure to let me know if you have any questions.
